For the next few Sunday’s I’ve decided that I need at least one day to stay away from social media. It’s going to be my time to embrace life without always having to capture the moment for online presentation. This weekend I’d like no distractions from reading the news, social media, Netflix, or emails. I have a book in mind, and I’ve been excited to start it’s called “Awakening the Buddha Within” by Lama Surya Das. But I’ve been putting it off because I waste time on social media instead of reading/ doing things I love. What can I say we all do this! It’s a place of distraction that sometimes takes us away from our current thoughts, dull job stress, or how we feel about ourselves/situations. It helps us stay distracted. So this Sunday I don’t want to be multi tasking on social media, and emails! I want to dive into a few good books. Let myself be immersed in some pages instead of scrolling Instagram etc! So wish me luck I’m excited to try this! Thanks to @vega_team for helping motivate me to try no social media Sunday! This will be the first of many I know it. I challenge all of you to try it out for yourself if you feel like you need a break!
