We all need support right now. Where is Our Mental Health Right Now?

Hey everyone,
It’s taken me over a month since the reality of COVID-19 set in to sit down and write a post. What a surreal moment in time we are in. Nothing has felt right. My thoughts have been distracted and disjointed. Anything I wrote, previous to the reality we are in now, wouldn't and couldn’t fit.
To be honest, it hasn’t been a leisurely stay at home. I'm sure almost everyone could attest to that. The news has been grim, making it hard to stay positive when we are constantly bombarded by global panic and increasing death and illness tolls.
However, true heroes walk among us. I send all my love and appreciation to those that are on the front lines as essential workers. You are doing something above and beyond us all.
And yet, amidst all this panic I began to wonder, where is our mental health right now?
We likely aren't in the most positive mindset right now. But I want to remind everyone that if you’re not feeling 100%, it's ok. If getting by is the only thing you can do right now, you are doing ok.
I want you to take the time to recalibrate and remind yourself that this is only temporary. Our lives are different right now, but it's going to be ok.
Try to stay away from the news if it’s triggering anxiety. Don't lose sight of staying in contact with yourself, and your loved ones. Call your friends, family, talk with people online (like me!). Find a new hobby! Eat healthy, yummy food. Watch Youtube! Watch all the movies on your Netflix list! Stretch your body out or learn to meditate. Read some books piled around your house. Go outside for some fresh air, with respectable distance from others. We can handle anything if we just stay positive and focus on the things we can control.
However, if you’re still feeling overwhelmed, know that there are a lot of online resources for support in your area if you need help from a professional. It’s ok to ask for help.
